If you’ve been trying to reopen a tab that’s been closed in Internet Explorer, but you’re not having any luck, there may be a solution. To reopen a closed tab in Internet Explorer, first make sure that the tab is still open. Then, click the three lines in the top right corner of the tab. Next, click “Open All Tabs.” This will open all of the tabs in your browser window. Finally, select the tab you want to reopen and click “Reopen.” ..


Thankfully there’s an add-on for IE7 called “IE7 Open Last Closed Tab” which will remember what tabs you’ve recently closed so that you can quickly re-open them.

After installation, you’ll notice that there’s nothing different in the UI whatsoever… but there are two new shortcut keys.

Alt+X will restore the last closed tab. Alt+Q will bring up a screen to let you visually choose from the recently closed tabs:
