Firefox is a popular web browser that is used by millions of people around the world. It has a number of features that make it an excellent choice for online browsing. One of its most popular features is the ability to access websites and files from your computer’s hard drive. This feature is called “file sharing.” When you share a file with someone else, you are giving them a copy of the file that you have on your computer. This means that they can read and use the file as if it were your own. You can also share files with others by email, instant messaging, or even over the phone. There are a few things you need to know about file sharing before you start doing it. First, make sure that you have enough space on your hard drive for all of the files that you want to share. Second, be sure to choose the right type of file to share - for example, pictures or videos - and be sure to provide enough information about the file (such as its name and size) so that other people can understand it. Finally, be sure to check out any legal restrictions on file sharing before starting out!

Before

The default for viewing webpage source code in Firefox means having an extra window open every time. Once in a while is not so bad, but if you are looking at a lot of code then all of those windows are definitely going to create havoc (not good!). Time to do something about that…

Options

Once you have installed the extension and restarted Firefox, you should take a quick look at the options. Notice that you can revert back to external window viewing (if needed for some reason), keep the default and have source code display in tabs, or if you desire you can use an external application (choice is good!).

Note: You can also have Firefox open webpage source code in an external app using this about:config tweak.

After

Time to see how things look…

Beautiful! The original webpage and the source code side-by-side in the same window.

Conclusion

The Source Viewer Tab extension helps you stay better organized while viewing source code for a webpage, and keeps the number of windows to a minimum.
